iPad glass done right

iPad digitizer and screen replacements need patience — big glued panels crack if rushed. We heat, lift and reseal them properly, which is why our iPad repairs hold up.

Batteries and charging

Tablets that won't hold a charge or need the cable wiggled just right are bread-and-butter fixes: battery swaps and port repairs, typically back to you in a day.

Kids' tablets and school iPads too

Samsung Tabs, Amazon Fires and school-issued iPads — if it's worth fixing we'll fix it, and if it's not economical we'll say so before you spend a dollar.

Common questions

What iPad repair services do you offer?Beyond cracked-glass and screen replacement, we handle the full range of iPad repairs at the Franklin bench: battery replacements for iPads that no longer hold a charge, charging-port repairs when the cable only works held at an angle, home-button and Touch ID fixes, and iCloud or passcode unlocking on tablets you own. Common iPad glass runs $89 on 5th/6th-gen, $119 on 7/8/9-gen and $139 on iPad 10/11, with Pro, Air and any LCD damage quoted after a quick look. Samsung Galaxy Tabs and Amazon Fire tablets are welcome too. Whatever it needs, you get the exact price before we start and a 6-month warranty after. See set prices on our repair price list.
How long does an iPad screen repair take?Usually next-day: iPad panels are glued and need proper cure time so the new glass stays put. Rush jobs on request.
Is a cracked iPad worth repairing?Usually yes on iPad 7th-gen and newer, and on all Pros/Airs. Bring it by and we'll quote it — if the math doesn't make sense, we'll tell you.
How much does iPad screen repair cost?Set prices on the common models: iPad 5th/6th-gen glass from $89, iPad 7/8/9-gen glass from $119, and iPad 10/11 glass from $139. Pro and Air panels and any LCD damage we quote after a quick look. You get the exact price before we start — no surprises.
My iPad glass is cracked but the picture still looks fine — do I need a whole new screen or just the glass? On most standard iPads (5th through 10th gen) the outer glass you touch is a separate layer bonded over the display underneath. If the picture is still clear and touch works everywhere, we can usually replace just that glass — which is why those models have the set glass prices listed above. If you're seeing black blotches, coloured lines, bleeding or dead spots where touch has stopped responding, the LCD beneath is damaged too and the full assembly has to be replaced, which costs more. iPad Pro and Air use one fused glass-and-display panel, so on those it's always a full-assembly job. You don't have to diagnose this yourself: bring it in and we'll tell you which repair yours actually needs — and the exact price — before you commit to anything.
Will I lose my photos or data during an iPad screen repair? No — a screen or glass replacement only touches the display, not the storage, so your photos, apps and files stay exactly as they were. We don't need your passcode for the repair itself. If the glass is badly shattered we may ask you to back up to iCloud first just as a precaution, but in a normal screen swap nothing on the iPad is erased.
Do I need an appointment, or can I just drop my iPad off?No appointment needed — walk in to 15 E Central St in downtown Franklin any time we're open. Because iPad panels are glued and need proper cure time, most tablet repairs are next-day rather than while-you-wait, so the usual routine is a quick look and quote at the counter, you leave the iPad with us, and we call or text the moment it's ready to collect. If you'd rather lock in timing you can get an exact price first through our free quote form or reserve a slot on the booking page, but a drop-off with no appointment is perfectly fine.
My iPad won't turn on or won't charge at all — is that fixable, or is it dead?Usually fixable, and it's rarely as dead as it looks. Before you write it off, try leaving it on the charger for a solid 30–60 minutes with a known-good cable and brick — a deeply drained iPad can look completely unresponsive and take a while to show any sign of life — then hold the top button and home button (or, on button-less models, press volume up, volume down, then hold the top button) for about 20 seconds to force a restart. If it still won't wake or charge, the cause is almost always one of three things we fix at the bench: a worn-out battery that no longer takes a charge, a failed or lint-clogged charging port so power never reaches the battery, or liquid/board damage that needs cleaning and component-level work. We diagnose which it is for free before quoting, so you only pay to fix the actual fault — and your photos and data sit in storage untouched by any of these repairs, so a dead iPad almost never means lost files. Bring it in or call (857) 340-8381 and we'll tell you straight whether it's worth reviving.
Do you repair Samsung Galaxy Tab and Amazon Fire tablets too, or only iPads? Both — tablet repair here isn't Apple-only. We regularly fix Samsung Galaxy Tab A and Tab S screens, batteries and charging ports, along with Amazon Fire tablets and the school-issued Android tablets kids bring home. The one honest caveat is economics: some entry-level Fire and budget Android tablets cost so little new that a screen replacement can approach the price of a replacement unit, so for those we'll quote the repair and tell you plainly whether it's worth doing before you spend anything. Galaxy Tab S-series and higher-end Android tablets are almost always worth fixing. Because Android tablet panels vary far more by model than iPads do, calling (857) 340-8381 or sending your exact model through the free quote form ahead of time lets us confirm the part and price — and whichever tablet it is, the repair carries the same 6-month warranty.
